5.4.2 Neuraxial Opioid Infusion
In properly selected patients, intraspinal or intraventricular infusions of
opioids have the advantage of producing profound analgesia without motor,
sensory, or sympathetic blockade (Behar, Magora, Olshwang, et al., 1979;
Bullingham, McQuay, and Moore, 1982). See Chapter 3 and also the section on
